Dr. Peter Davies, a mathematician and computer scientist, has extensive expertise with the SR&ED program. From 1987 through 1998, he worked as an outside consultant, assisting CRA with technical audits. During this period he handled over 100 submissions. Since then, he has assisted many taxpayers with their SR&ED submissions. Although it is perfectly legitimate to work for both CRA and taxpayers concurrently (but not on the same file!), we have not followed this practice. We have several SR&ED consultants, working with Expert Solutions, who have similar in-depth knowledge of both the SR&ED program and their respective areas of expertise. The clients we have served have ranged from major corporations to small businesses with a few employees. Our particular interest is in serving medium size and small businesses, to maximize the rewards offered by the SR&ED program. Besides our knowledge and expertise concerning the program itself, we are also actively involved in advanced computer application development. As a case in point, we have submitted claims for our own SR&ED development work as recently as fiscal 2009.
